“Had a great day fishing from Stewart BC with Shawn. His easy going manner, focus on safety, new Kingfisher boat and desire to ensure that we had a unforgettable experience made for a fantastic day. He and his wife went beyond by freezing our fish as we had another day in Stewart. Looking forward to our next trip!”

Manu Madhok

“We had an amazing day on the water. Blue skies and calm seas. Shawn was a great captain and his new Kingfisher boat was great to be in. We would definitely come back again.”

Renee Skinner

“This was one of the most amazing trips I have EVER been on in my life. Shawn went above and beyond on and put us on some damn good fishing. GREAT ATTITUDE, GREAT BOAT, GREAT GEAR AND AN EVEN BETTER CAPTAIN.....we will definitely be returning!!! P.S. we saw whales all day....highly recommended to take the 12hr charter.”

Shane Foord

“This was WILD!!! Seen lots of whales, slayed some monster fish. Shawn this was pure Awesomeness!! One of the best things I've ever done. You truly made this an experience of a lifetime! I highly recommend this charter to everyone, Shawn knows his stuff. Again, thank you again, see you soon my friend. Definitely doing this again.”

Crystal Hutchinson

“SOOO MUCH FUN, I'm a life long Yukon outdoors person who has been on countless great outdoor adventures but the fishing trip with Shawn to the edge of the continent ranks right up there with some of the best. Shawn was a awesome captain / guide who put us on some nonstop salmon fishing action while being surrounded by whales and breathtaking scenery. My wife and I very much appreciated the way Shawn went above and beyond to ensure are charter was a great time. Scout me out a giant halibut as we will likely be back to fish with you again, Thanks Shawn”

Grant Owen

“The amount of wildlife we saw and fish we caught is completely unbelievable. In one day we caught coho, sockeye and pink salmon and halibut. We also got to see porpoises and a whale!”

Whitney Carson

“Amazing views to be had. A very knowledgeable and entertaining Captain. Be prepared to haul the fish on and if your a novice like me you will be a pro listening to the Captain. Don't waste time or money on a charter fishing trip anywhere else. The ample breath taking views and bounty of fish crabs and prawns will amaze even the saltiest of verterns.”

Jason Boyes

“My husband and I had a wonderful two days on the Portland Canal with Shawn. His enthusiasm, optimism and knowledge of the area makes all the difference. We were tidal fishing novices but came back with several fish and feeling like old pros. We caught halibut, salmon, rockfish, crabs and prawns. We saw a huge variety of other wildlife including humpback whales, porpoises and eagles. And, of course, bears. The boat was clean and comfortable including sparkling clean windows which is so important with such wonderful scenery. Shawn provided comprehensive safety information for us landlubbers before we left the dock. On board, there is a binder containing all the important information about salmon and tidal fishing and an iPod with a good variety of music. Fisherwomen and children are accommodated with an onboard portable toilet in the privacy of the cabin. All you need to bring is lunch, beverages, rain gear, and your CAMERA! A trip with Wild Northern Adventures is a must for visitors to the Stewart/Hyder area.”
